Apollo Records, the label created as an alternative musical vehicle to it’s elder and more aggressive brother, R&S Records, has had some prestigious contributors over the years. Aphex Twin, The Orb’s Thomas Fehlmann, Manna feat Finley Quaye (production duo Quarmby and Bacon, who have produced everyone from David Bowie to The Sugarbabes) and Mark Van Hoen’s Locust, amongst many others.

With R&S back and in great form, it was only a matter of time before Apollo followed and label founder Renaat Vandepapeliere has compiled a wonderful listening experience here with Apollo – Past, Present, Future.

The tracklist draws from both Apollo’s own catalogue and, as always with Renaat’s compilations (see the seminal In Order To Dance series over the years), he has included a handful of his own personal favorites from outside the stable. This time round there is Underworld’s “Sola Sistim”, along with new and refreshing talents Paul White and Bullion. In addition, Dave Angel, stalwart R&S artist, has given us an exclusive new track “Dreams”.
